And here they are. They have decided to rename Tori "Reagan". Hence the name of the blog--Racing to Reagan!
You'll see on their blog that they have also decided to adopt another child from the same original orphanage, a 3 year old girl with Down Syndrome they will name Carrington. This orphanage is one of the poorest ones in their home country, and they are doing her a great favor...it's inspiring to read this group of women on the Reece's Rainbow board do their best to empty out that particular orphanage and give these children a better life.
Some of you may know that this country is also legally considering becoming part of the Hague Convention, which would be a good thing overall for orphans in that country, as well as adopting parents--but let's pray they do not have a moratorium on adoptions if they transition to Hague Convention standards. That could be deadly for the children with special needs in particular.
I can't tell you how grateful I am to this family for stepping forward.
